Naples introduces calcium supplement that mixes into bottled water
BURLINGTON, Mass. Naples Marketing Systems introduced a new calcium supplement, touting 100 percent absorbability, in a stick format—a delivery system whereby consumers mix their supplements with their bottled water that is being employed by more and more dietary supplement manufacturers, the company announced last month at the ECRM Vitamin, Diet & Sports Nutrition conference held in Destin, Fla. A 60-pack, representing a 30-day supply of no-taste calcium supplement, will retail for a suggested $14.99.
The new product boasts a seal of approval from the National Osteoporosis Foundation and will carry a budget of $4 million in advertising through its first year on shelf—the product is expected to reach optimum distribution between the first and second quarters of this year.
