NPA, SafetyCall partner to reduce costs of AERs
WASHINGTON The Natural Products Association on Wednesday partnered with SafetyCall, an adverse event reporting call center, on reduced rates to association members in preparation of reporting AERs of dietary supplement use.
The Natural Products Association and SafetyCall will hold a series of education events throughout the year to help companies adjust to the new regulation, the association announced.
“The recently offered guidance stressed the importance of using trained healthcare practitioners in meeting the regulatory requirements,” stated Daniel Fabricant, vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs at the association. “Through our partnership with SafetyCall and continued educational opportunities for members, the Natural Products Association hopes to ensure that our members easily adjust.”
SafetyCall will provide assistance for turnkey regulatory reporting to the Food and Drug Administration once the AER law is implemented on Dec. 22.
