Pine Bros. ink endorsement deal with Ryan Lochte

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. — Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops has signed a new endorsement deal with Olympic swimmer and 12-time medalist Ryan Lochte. Lochte made news during this year’s Rio Olympics after Brazilian authorities questioned his account of being robbed at gunpoint and subsequently charged him with filing a false robbery report. 

 

But Pine Bros. CEO Rider McDowell reached out to the athlete to be part of a new ad campaign touting that Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops are “Forgiving On Your Throat.” The print ads and accompanying commercial will be shot in the next few weeks in Los Angeles. 

 

"We all make mistakes, but they're rarely given front-page scrutiny,” McDowell said. “He's a great guy who has done incredible work with charities. I'm confident that Pine Bros. fans will support our decision to give Ryan a second chance.”
