RecoveryX signs baseball star Manny Ramirez as spokesman

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. RecoveryX, sports/energy drink that helps reduce swelling for athletes has said that it has signed baseball superstar Manny Ramirez as the face of its sports drink. The company said that Ramirez will make personal appearances representing RecoveryX and appear in commercials.

Ramirez was tapped as an All-Star choice 12 times and also had a leading batting average in his league, as well as top stats for base hits and home runs. He was voted Most Valuable Player in the world championship in 2004 after helping the Boston Red Sox win their first World Series in 86 years.

“Mr. Ramirez is considered to be one of the all time greatest players in baseball,” said Brian Jensen, public relations director of CTVX Inc. “We feel his work ethic and personality reflect the RecoveryX product image and our target consumer, which is a major reason we asked him to represent our product.”

RecoveryX is marketed as a remedy for athletes suffering from overexertion. Some forms of swelling, or edema, or result in a “compromised immune system.” But RecoveryX reportedly helps speed the healing process.
