Releev grows its distribution
Merix Pharmaceutical is expanding the distribution of its Releev one-day cold sore symptom treatment. The product, which already was available in Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy and Rite Aid stores, has added convenience retailers 7-Eleven and Circle K to its U.S. distribution.
Releev uses Merix’s proprietary botanical blend Viracea, which combines the company’s patented echinacea extract and benzalkonium chloride, a fast-healing treatment for cold sores. Releev can ease cold sore pain in between three and 10 minutes, the company said, noting that it relieves other symptoms within 24 hours and stops skin irritation after it is applied.
