Rite Aid begins stocking ALCiS pain relief cream

9/4/2008

SAN JOSE, Calif. ALCiS Health on Wednesday announced that Rite Aid is stocking its over-the-counter topical pain relief cream, ALCiS Daily Relief.

“Our retail success has come from focused marketing efforts to our defined target audiences—active baby boomers and athletes of all levels,” stated Brian Berchtold, chief executive officer and president of ALCiS Health. “Rite Aid understands these individuals and knows what products they need.”

With the addition of Rite Aid stores, ALCiS Daily Relief is now available in more than 13,000 retail chain stores.

ALCiS Health has been ramping the growth of ALCiS Daily Relief by driving consumers into the retail stores, the company stated. ALCiS advertises on national cable television, radio, print and the Internet. Product sampling, to both the medical and athletic audiences, is another major marketing focus.

Currently, more than 7,000 healthcare professionals are enrolled in the sampling program, and ALCiS Daily Relief will be distributed at more than 50 key national and local sporting events in 2008.

In addition to Rite Aid, ALCiS Daily Relief can also be found on shelves at Walgreens and Duane Reade, several regional retail drug store chains and a select number of specialty sports retail stores.
