The American Chemistry Council said it welcomed the request, made by Reps. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., and Bart Stupak, D-Mich
“ACC and its member companies rely on and will respect FDA’s guidance on the safety of food-contact products containing BPA as they have consistently done in response to all prior FDA findings on BPA safety,” a statement by the organization read. “Timely decisions, based on science, will give the public the confidence it deserves in the safety of these products.”
