Actavis launches generic Temovate cream

DUBLIN — Actavis launched a generic version of Temovate (clobetasol cream 0.05%), adding to the company’s expanding portfolio of topicals, the company said. 

 

Temovate is a high-potency corticosteroid. The company stated that it’s for the “relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.” The drug had total brand and generic sales of approximately $185 million for the 12 months ending Jan. 15, 2015, according to data from IMS Health.
