Acuvue teams up with new film

9/22/2009

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. A Johnson & Johnson Vision Care brand is promoting a new film by offering prizes that include a year supply of contact lenses.

Acuvue has developed Acuvue Whip It Sweeps, a contest to promote the new film, "Whip It", which follows a Texas teenager who aspires to be on the local roller derby team. When Bliss Cavendar (played by Ellen Page) trades her glasses for Acuvue brand contact lenses, she taps into the confidence she needs to perform better and ultimately propel herself to roller derby glory.

"Optimal vision is critical for optimal performance," said Mary Lou French, O.D. "Athletes of all ages should always take good eye health into consideration for their performance on and off the field," she adds.

Fans can enter the Acuvue Whip It Sweeps at www.whipit.acuvue.com for their chance to win the grand prize or one of the following prize packages:

  • Four (4) First Prize packages of an autographed WHIP IT poster and book and a one year supply of Acuvue brand contact lenses
