AHRQ launches informational Web site

4/18/2008

WASHINGTON The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has launched a Web site that explains more than 100 innovations in the delivery of healthcare services.

The site, called the Health Care Innovations Exchange, also lists innovations that failed. The agency believes the site can be a resource for clinicians and other healthcare professionals seeking to reduce care disparities and improve overall care. The site will be updated every two weeks and will be a centrally located and have a searchable storage area that all healthcare decision makers can use to quickly identify ideas and tools that meet their needs.

The site also includes expert commentaries, Web seminars and online forums. It also will house the existing AHRQ Quality Tools used in quality improvement programs. More information is available at innovations.ahrq.gov.
