Amerigen gets FDA nod for generic Adderall XR
Amerigen Pharmaceuticals has received the Food and Drug Administration’s approval for its generic Adderall XR (dextroamphetamine saccharate, amphetamine aspartate monohydrate, dextroamphetamine sulfate and amphetamine sulfate).
The company's generic of Shire's extended-release capsules will be available in dosage strengths of 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg, 25 mg and 30 mg. Amerigen's generic Adderall XR is indicated to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Amerigen's U.S. affiliate, Amerigen Pharmaceuticals, currently is selling the authorized generic version of this product.
