Amgen releases Q3 results

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. Amgen reported on its third quarter earnings for 2007, which saw adjusted earnings per share, excluding stock option expense and certain other expenses of $1.08.

This is an increase of 4 percent compared to the third quarter of 2006. The adjusted net income decreased by 4 percent to $1.181 billion compared to $1.224 billion in the third quarter last year.

Total revenue remained the same at $3.6 billion when compared to the third quarter of 2006. The company’s anemia franchise saw products sales decrease by 16 percent.
