Amneal launches Ortho-Cyclen 28 generic, Femynor

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Amneal Pharmaceuticals announced recently the launch of its Femynor (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol tablets). The drug is a generic of Orth-Cyclen 28 contraception. 

 

Amneal’s launch expands its women’s health line to six products. Femynor will be available in 28-count blister packs. The drug had $178.3 million in annual sales for the year ending June 2016, according to IMS Health data.
