RALEIGH, N.C. — Ateb and patient engagement and medication adherence solution company Improved Patient Outcomes on Monday announced a partnership that will work to improve medication adherence by offering patient health management solutions. The partnership brings together IPO’s Duke University evidence-based health management solutions with Ateb’s appointment-based model around which its Time My Meds medication synchronization solution is built.

The partnership will integrate IPO’s behavioral solutions across 90 disease states into Ateb’s online Patient Management Access Portal, allowing Ateb’s pharmacy partners to identify high-risk patients and actively engage with them on better medication management that can bring about healthier outcomes.

“By augmenting our technology with evidenced-based behavioral content, our valued pharmacy partners can make a substantial difference in their patients' medication adherence, leading to healthier outcomes for the patients and also demonstrates the ability for pharmacy to deliver more accessible and affordable healthcare," Ateb president and CEO Frank Sheppard said. “Utilizing Ateb's existing patient communication solution, including outbound calls, texts and push notifications, pharmacies can develop simple, effective communication protocols to drive proactive behavioral interventions that establish lasting behavioral changes in patients.”

IPO CEO Greg Muffler said “Our proven behavioral solution empowers pharmacists to engage patients in a more sustainable and meaningful way; leveraging technology to increase scale and efficiency while deploying proven behavioral change interventions via digital channels.”
