Aurora QuickCare offering cheap services in response to economic downturn

2/23/2009

MILWAUKEE Aurora Health Care is offering inexpensive medical care to patients through its QuickCare clinics in response to the economic downturn, the non-profit healthcare provider announced last week.

"We see many patients who don?t have insurance or who opted for high deductibles for their insurance plans," Aurora QuickCare manager and nurse practitioner Janet Teske said in a statement. "QuickCare provides them with affordable care for common family illnesses like sore throats."

Staff can assess patients, advise them on how to manage symptoms, tell them if they will need additional care and write prescriptions. Services range in price from $49 to $69.
