BioRx launches revamped MyFactor smartphone app

FLINT, Mich. — Specialty pharmacy provider and Diplomat company BioRx on Monday announced the release of the newest version of its iOS and Android app MyFactor. The app allows hemophilia patients to record bleeding episodes and treatment while facilitating easy information sharing with their caregivers, physicians, pharmacists and nurses.

The new version provides cloud-based date storage and synchronization across multiple devices.

“Unlike most hemophilia apps available on the market, MyFactor now provides the confidence of secure cloud-based data storage,” Diplomat Specialty Infusion Group VP and COO Eric Hill said. “As users increasingly upgrade, add or change mobile devices, safeguarding the continuity of their data becomes imperative. The new MyFactor ensures users can access their data on any device that runs the app.”

This version of the app effectively replaces the original iOS release from 2013, though the original app remains in the iTunes App Store as MyFactor Classic, which now includes a data export feature that lets users migrate their data and information to the new app. Android uses only need to download the update from Google Play and add their email address in the profile section to enable a cloud-based data backup.

“We are excited to release this innovative app as a way to better support our patients with hemophilia or any other related bleeding disorders, Diplomat CEO and chairman Phil Hagerman said. “This platform allows a revolutionary way for patients to stay on track with their treatment and share information with members of their health care team.”
