Blink Health debuts telemedicine offering for birth control

Blink Health is unveiling a telemedicine offering for birth control pills, to be prescribed online and delivered for free to customers.

“Blink Health customers can now have a consultation from the comfort of their home and skip a trip to the pharmacy each month with Blink Health’s new subscription service that delivers prescribed birth control pills on a regular refill schedule," said Geoffrey Chaiken, Blink Health founder and CEO, in a LinkedIn post Wednesday.

“Our new birth control telemedicine offering is in addition to our existing men’s health offerings in hair loss and ED, and dermatology treatment for cold sores. Blink Health’s telemedicine offerings will continue to expand, offering access to treatment for some of the most common chronic conditions Americans live with,” Chaiken said.

Chaiken added, “Today telemedicine goes far beyond phone calls: doctors are treating patients via video sessions, chat functions, secure portals and other digital means, but telemedicine is not yet available in all states. So as regulations evolve, we hope to offer it nationwide. Today, our service digitally connects patients to board-certified physicians or clinicians who can prescribe the necessary medication.”
