Butler to build $14 million lab, lecture halls for pharmacy school

3/26/2008

INDIANAPOLIS In May, Butler University will begin building a $14 million expansion on its pharmacy building, according to published reports. The university is building the extension in hopes of bringing together the scattered faculty and students of its growing pharmacy program.

The expansion also will include a large instructional lab and 5,000 square feet of research labs. Two new 135-seat lecture halls will allow an entire class of pharmacy students to meet together.

The 36,000-square-foot expansion is expected to be completed in the fall of 2009. Butler is one of only two schools in Indiana that have a pharmacy program, Purdue being the other.
