Camber launches generic Famvir

PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Camber Pharmaceuticals on Friday announced the launch of famciclovir tablets in 125-, 250- and 500-mg dosage strengths. The drug is the generic version for Famvir from Novartis.

According to Camber, the drug is used to treat herpes virus infection, including shingles, cold sores and genital herpes. Famciclovir is available in 30-count bottles.
