Caraco elects new member to board of directors

DETROIT Generic drug maker Caraco Pharmaceutical Labs has appointed F. Folsom Bell to its board of directors following the decision by John Crissman not to stand for reelection at the 2009 annual shareholders meeting, Caraco announced Tuesday.

Bell will occupy the position from the date of the 2009 meeting to the 2012 meeting.

Bell has been a consultant on mergers and acquisitions and been involved in real estate development since 2006. From 2000 to 2005, he was EVP business development of Perrigo Co., having also served two terms on Perrigo’s board of directors, from 1981 to 1986 and 1988 to 2003.
