Covidien plans expansion of St. Louis area operations
ST. LOUIS Covidien is planning to expand its operations in St. Louis County, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.
The healthcare products company will spend $100 million over the next five years, creating 30 new jobs in science, research and development. It already employs 2,500 people in the area.
The expansions include a factory in the suburb of Maryland Heights and a research and development center in Webster Groves.
