CPS to acquire McKesson Medication Management

MEMPHIS, Tenn. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services has signed an agreement to buy McKesson’s pharmacy management service business, McKesson Medication Management, according to published reports.

“This acquisition joins two leading operating companies in the pharmacy services industry, which will result in material improvements to the operational and financial performance metrics we provide for our client hospitals,” said Don Nickleson, CPS president and chief executive officer.

The transaction in expected to be completed by the end of the month and once finished, the combined company will serve 218 facilities in 41 states.
