Daily Diversion: VeinViewer finds veins with near-infrared light

Memphis-based company Christie Medical Holdings has developed a device that uses “harmless, near-infrared light” to indicate the location of veins, Mental Floss reports.


The VeinViewer works by finding veins and then projecting them onto the arm, easing the process of locating the best place to insert a needle.
