Diplomat acquires American Homecare Federation
FLINT, Mich. — Diplomat has acquired a hemophilia-focused specialty pharmacy based in Connecticut, the specialty pharmacy company said Monday.
Diplomat announced that it had bought Enfield, Conn.-based American Homecare Federation, which provides pharmacy services for patients with hemophilia who depend on homecare throughout the United States. Financial terms were not disclosed.
"Diplomat is pleased to expand our footprint in the hemophilia specialty space with the acquisition of AHF, which has an outstanding reputation for serving the hemophilia community and complements Diplomat's philosophy to 'take good care of patients, and the rest falls into place,'" Diplomat CEO Phil Hagerman said. "The AHF purchase also establishes Diplomat's physical presence in the Northeast and allows for future expansion opportunities in that region."
