FamilyWize introduces Medicine Cabinet

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — FamilyWize on Monday announced a new feature for patients looking for the best price on their prescription medications. The FamilyWize Medicine Cabinet, which the company says is the next evolution of its Drug Price Lookup Tool. The Medicine Cabinet allows users to create a personal profile and easily find the lowest price for their prescriptions through FamilyWize’s website and mobile app.

With Medicine Cabinet, users can save and track their prescription drug searches and savings, search and compare prices within a zip code, bundle prescriptions by pharmacy to see their costs before getting to the checkout, compare name brand and generic prices and toggle search results between pharmacy locations and drug price breakdowns to get a clear insight on price points. It also allows users to download the FamilyWize card or app.

“We’ve been tremendously successful over the past 12 years helping families stay healthy and better manage their prescription costs, but we are always looking ahead in order to do even more,” FamilyWize president and CEO Joseph Sanginiti said. “We saw a need to create a feature that accurately and conveniently captures patients’ prescription drug price searches. The Medicine Cabinet is the end result, with even more features planned to roll out this year alongside our new website and mobile app.”
