FDA appoints Masoudi associate general counsel
WASHINGTON The Food and Drug Administration has appointed Gerald Masoudi as associate general counsel/chief counsel of the Food and Drug Division of the United States Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the General Counsel, which handles legal matters for the FDA.
From 2004 to 2005, Masoudi served as principal deputy associate general counsel for the Food and Drug Division, serving for a time as acting associate general counsel.
“We are pleased to have Jerry’s expertise and insight back at HHS,” said Commissioner of Food and Drugs Andrew von Eschenbach. “His leadership and service will be critical to FDA’s public health mission and regulatory responsibilities.”
