FDA approves generic sestamibi injection
NOIDA, India The Food and Drug Administration has approved a generic version of the drug used in myocardial perfusion imaging to evaluate the flow of blood to the heart.
Jubilant Organosys announced Monday that the FDA had approved a generic sestamibi injection by its U.S. subsidiary, Draximage. The drug is a generic version of Lantheus Medical Imaging’s Cardiolite.
Draximage has an exclusive distribution agreement with GE Healthcare to distribute and sell generic sestamibi through GE Healthcare’s nuclear pharmacy network in the United States.
