FDA approves generic version of Clobex lotion for treating dermatitis, eczema
ROCKVILLE, Md. The Food and Drug Administration has approved a generic version of Galderma Labs’ Clobex lotion.
The agency approved Actavis Mid Atlantic’s version of the lotion, marketed as clobetasol propionate, on Dec. 4, according to agency reports. The lotion is indicated for the treatment of dermatitis and eczema.
Galderma, formed in 1981 as a joint venture between Nestle and L’Oreal and based in Lausanne, Switzerland, also offers Clobex as a spray and shampoo.
