FDA approves generic version of popular head lice medication

NEWTOWN, Pa. The Food and Drug Administration has approved a generic topical medication for head lice.

Synerx Pharma has announced that the FDA approved its malathion lotion in the 0.5% strength. The lotion is a generic version of Taro Pharma’s Ovide lotion, used to treat patients with head lice and their eggs.
