FDA approves generic version of Watson’s Tenuate for weight loss

ROCKVILLE, Md. The Food and Drug Administration has approved CorePharma’s diethylpropion hydrochloride tablets, FDA records show.

The tablets, available in 25 mg dosages, are a generic version of Watson’s appetite-suppressing obesity drug Tenuate.

The FDA approved CorePharma’s generic version Nov. 5.
