FDA approves GERD generic
ROCKVILLE, Md. The Food and Drug Administration has approved a generic version of a gastroesophageal reflux disease drug, FDA records show.
The agency approved Indian drug maker Wockhardt’s ranitidine hydrochloride tablets in the 150-mg and 300-mg strengths, generic versions of GlaxoSmithKline’s Zantac 150 and Zantac 300.
Eleven other generic drug makers manufacture generic versions of Zantac, according to the FDA.
