FDA approves Intel's Health Guide
CHICAGO The Food and Drug Administration has approved a new health-monitoring system from Intel, the chipmaker announced Thursday.
Known as Health Guide, the system allows patients to monitor their health and receive remote care management from health-care professionals. It can also connect to devices such as blood-pressure monitors and glucose meters and collect the information they gather.
The system will become available in the U.S. and U.K. late this year or early next year.
