FDA approves Taro's acne treatment
HAWTHORNE, N.Y. The Food and Drug Administration has approved the manufacture of a generic version of a topical drug for treating acne.
Taro Pharmaceutical Industries announced Thursday that its Canadian manufacturing site had received FDA approval to manufacture sulfacetamide sodium lotion in the 10% strength.
The lotion is a generic version of Sanofi-Aventis’ Klaron, which had sales of $15 million in the 12 months ending March 31, according to industry sources.
