FDA clears Lupin’s generic Viagra

Lupin has received the Food and Drug Administration’s nod for its generic Viagra (sildenafil tablets). Lupin's generic of Pfizer's branded drug will be available in 25-mg, 50-mg, and 100-mg dosage strengths.

The product is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

The drug had a market value of $611 million, according to December 2018 IQVIA data.
