FDA grants approval to NiliMedix for insulin pump

WASHINGTON The Food and Drug Administration has granted marketing approval to D Medical Industries subsidiary NiliMedix, for its insulin pump, according to Globes.

The company filed a 510k fast-track application with the agency back in March.

Some of the functions that make the company’s pump different than other pumps on the market, NiliMedix stated, are that it does not malfunction as much because it has no moving parts like a motor, it can sense air bubbles, and has an alarm in case it begins to leak.
