FDA issues Xanodyne an approvable letter for Zipsor
CINCINNATI A new pain medication from Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals came closer to approval, Xanodyne announced Tuesday.
The Food and Drug Administration sent the Newport, Ohio-based drug maker an approvable letter for its drug Zipsor, known generically as diclofenac potassium. The FDA did not require additional trials for the drug, but the company did not say what conditions it had to meet to gain approval.
Xanodyne specializes in drugs for pain management and women’s health.
