FERNDALE, Mich. — Ferndale Healthcare, distributor and marketer of RectiCare (Lidocaine 5%) anorectal cream, on Wednesday announced it is continuing its partnership with the Colon Cancer Alliance in 2015. Marking the 2nd consecutive year for the partnership, Ferndale Healthcare will provide financial support to benefit the programs of the Colon Cancer Alliance and implement various promotional efforts to help educate and raise awareness of colon cancer among consumers.
According to a recent Nielsen global survey, consumer sentiment toward socially responsible companies is growing. In the year-and-a-half since Nielsen published its “Global, Socially Conscious Consumer” report, the percentage of global consumers willing to reward companies that give back to society (by paying more for their goods and services) grew by 5% — increasing to 50%. Ferndale Healthcare is proud that RectiCare stands as the first in its category to utilize cause marketing, and hopes to further the mission of the Colon Cancer Alliance, which through education can help prevent colon cancer, the company stated.
Ferndale Healthcare and the Colon Cancer Alliance are working together to distribute a brochure in preparation of Colon Cancer Awareness Month in March, alerting consumers to the signs and symptoms of the third most prevalent cancer in the United States To further promote the Colon Cancer Alliance and generate awareness, Ferndale Healthcare has added information on the Colon Cancer Alliance to the RectiCare website and will feature the Colon Cancer Alliance logo on RectiCare packaging as well.
