Fruth to use Activant for all business and point-of-sale operations

LIVERMORE, Calif. Fruth Pharmacy will manage business and point-of-sale operations using the Activant Eagle software platform, maker Activant Solutions announced Monday.

Fruth selected the platform in June, Activant said, to manage inventory and improve retail efficiency. The company’s Business Advisor software will help Fruth’s executives gauge the chain’s profitability, monitor individual store performance and control inventory across its 25 stores and two warehouses.

“It is impossible to try to manage a business and make effective executive decisions these days based on quarterly and year-end reports,” Fruth Pharmacy chief executive officer Don Pullin said. “We wanted more timely data so that we could catch negative trends in time and reverse them, while also identifying and making the most positive trends.”
