Great Day Houston honored as NACDS ‘Pharmacy Great Communicator’

ALEXANDRIA, Va. An organization catering to retail pharmacies has honored a local television program for a segment highlighting the importance of the retail pharmacist.

The National Association of Chain Drug Stores recognized Great Day Houston, and its host Deborah Duncan as a NACDS “Pharmacy Great Communicator.” Great Day Houston, which broadcasts on KHOU-TV (Houston, Texas), recently aired a segment entitled, “Buffalo Pharmacy Joins The H-E-B Family,” which highlighted H-E-B Pharmacy and H-E-B pharmacist Steve King.

In the segment, Duncan discusses the quality healthcare services that the H-E-B Pharmacy performs for its patients and customers, including prescription drug compounding and flavoring, medication adherence and immunizations.

In the letter, NACDS President and CEO Steven C. Anderson, IOM, CAE, said, “NACDS truly appreciates your informative news piece, which highlighted the pharmacy 'family,' and detailed some of the unique healthcare services that our talented NACDS members provide to their patients.”

The NACDS “Pharmacy Great Communicator” program was created to honor those who publicly highlight the value of community pharmacy.
