H-E-B Specialty Pharmacy receives full accreditations

SAN ANTONIO — H-E-B on Tuesday annoubnced its H-E-B Specialty Pharmacy division has received full accreditation to deliver specialized clinical services to patients with complex and chronic diseases in more than 260 H-E-B stores across the state of Texas.



“Accreditation is an important milestone in our mission to continuously innovate H-E-B Pharmacy services and better serve our patients when they need us the most,” stated Craig Norman, SVP pharmacy H-E-B. “From health and wellness programs to expanded pharmacy offerings, H-E-B remains dedicated to serving the diverse needs of our customers.”



The certification was awarded by both the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) and the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), both national nonprofit organizations recognized as leaders in measuring the gold standard of healthcare business operations, quality of patient care and services.



In addition to providing home delivery and in-store pickup services in stores throughout Texas, H-E-B Specialty Pharmacy can now address more complex disease states such as auto-immune, Hepatitis C, multiple sclerosis and oncological diseases.
