Health Dialog announced Tuesday that it has received Patient Oriented Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance for its disease management programs for asthma, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, coronary heart disease and diabetes.
“Fifteen consecutive years of NCQA Accreditation is incredibly powerful validation of the quality of our disease management programs for asthma, congestive heart failure, COPD, coronary heart disease and diabetes,” commented Danielle Barrera, COO for Health Dialog, a Rite Aid subsidiary. “We’re continually improving our integrated suite of population health services, including our disease management programs, so that organizations can better engage members in their health journey, which can help them support better health outcomes for members and achieve the significant cost reductions our clients have enjoyed for more than two decades.”
“NCQA's Disease Management Accreditation program is thorough and rigorous,” stated Margaret O'Kane, NCQA president. “It's designed to highlight only those programs that truly improve chronic care."
NCQA’s Disease Management Accreditation demonstrates that a disease management program is dedicated to giving patients the support, education and other help necessary to facilitate good patient outcomes and care. NCQA awards accreditation to organizations that meet or exceed its rigorous standards and guidelines. The standards are set intentionally high to help organizations achieve the highest level of performance possible, increase adherence to care guidelines and create an environment of continuous quality improvement.
NCQA’s most recent accreditation represents 15 consecutive years of accreditation for Health Dialog’s disease management programs, securing its place as an industry leader in helping organizations manage care for people with chronic diseases. NCQA’s most recent award extends the accreditation period until Oct. 27, 2020.
