Highmark picks Eliza to communicate with patients

7/9/2008

BEVERLY, Mass. The Pennsylvania health insurance company Highmark has chosen Eliza as its exclusive provider of automated, phone-based healthcare communications. The communications will include health and benefit information with the aim to help the patient achieve a healthier way of living.

Eliza has been working with Highmark since 2005 when, it would make announcements about preventive health screening reminders including screenings for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer; as well as offering chronic condition management for members who suffer from diabetes, asthma and hypertension; and it also offered information on topics like flu shots and the Medicare Part D program.

“Over the years, Eliza’s innovative approach to tailored healthcare communications has had a measurable impact on the health of our members,” says Carol Chase, Highmark’s manager of clinical outcomes. “Plus, Eliza’s interactive approach helps us learn more about our members—including their barriers to achieving better health—so that we can better serve them. We look forward to extending our use of Eliza to support members at every stage in their relationship with Highmark.”
