Industry veteran Kneeland to venture on Eight Great Pharmacies in Alaska trip

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Industry veteran Bruce Kneeland is heading to the Last Frontier.

Good Neighbor Pharmacy and PrescribeWellness are co-sponsoring the Eight Great Pharmacies in Alaska road trip, set to take place in June.

Kneeland is working with managers from Good Neighbor Pharmacy, PrescribeWellness, the Alaska State Pharmacy Association and others who know the area to solicit nominations. Kneeland is specifically looking for pharmacies that are doing noteworthy things that help them provide better care while also achieving financial success.

The trip will be Kneeland’s sixth and last such journey, which will cover the last major section of the country that has not previously visited and written about. Subsequently, he will share what he learns with pharmacy owners and managers in a series of ACPE-approved CE programs to be delivered at pharmacy conventions over the next several months.

“Being able to visit with so many innovative pharmacy owners is an honor,” Kneeland said. “But, the real thrill is sharing what I have seen these pharmacy owners do with others at various trade shows is a true honor. I am thrilled to be able to repeat that process one more time.”

Christine Lane, VP marketing, community and specialty pharmacy at AmerisourceBergen, said, “[Good Neighbor Pharmacy] was the sponsor of Kneeland’s first trip, and we are excited to make this, Kneeland’s final tour of discovery, possible.”

“With so many negative things being discussed by pharmacy owners, we feel that providing pharmacy owners with information on how others are succeeding will be a great service to the profession, said Al Babbington, CEO of PrescribeWellness.
