Iowa consumers get discount drug card

DES MOINES, Iowa Iowa has joined the growing list of states where residents can get discounts of up to 75 percent on prescription drugs.

The Iowa Drug Card, part of United Networks of America’s discount drug-card program, allows patients to obtain discounts on prescription drugs at more than 50,000 chain and independent pharmacies nationwide, including Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid.

UNA has launched similar programs in a number of states, including Ohio and Arizona.
