Kinney Drugs honors top stores, pharmacists

GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. A retail pharmacy chain operating in northern New York and Vermont honored its top stores and pharmacists at a recent conference.

Kinney Drugs announced Friday that it gave four awards – three to pharmacists and one to a store – at its Pharmacy Conference at The Turning Stone in Verona, N.Y.

“We are very proud of our pharmacists and the level of personal attention they give to their patients,” Kinney president and COO Bridget-Ann Hart said. “Exceptional patient care, commitment to healthy communities, dedication and hard work played a vital role in the success of this past year.”

Supervising pharmacist Robert Kline, of the Kinney Drugs in Alexandria Bay, N.Y., received the highest award, the Quest for Excellence. The award is given for “overall dedication” to their customers and community. In recognition, Kline received a one carat diamond ring.

Pharmacist Lisa Brown of the Elbridge, N.Y., store received the Outstanding Community Service Award, which recognizes “exceptional commitment and dedication to his [or] her community.”

Pharmacy supply chain manager Carol Breckenridge received the A. Eleanor Jackson Store Support Award, given to administrative staff.

The company also gave Store Recognition awards to the stores in Saranac Lake, N.Y., Milton, Vt., Elizabethtown, N.Y., Elbridge, N.Y., Skaneateles, N.Y., Weedsport, N.Y., Camden, N.Y., Oswego, N.Y., Clinton, N.Y., Adams, N.Y., Watertown, N.Y., and Alexandria Bay, N.Y.
