Kinney Drugs introduces Life Vial Mobile

5/11/2009

GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. A regional retail pharmacy chain operating in northern New York and Vermont said Monday that it would introduce a packet of life-saving information for people to take with them wherever they go.

Kinney Drugs will introduce Life Vial Mobile, containing a form outlining a person’s medical conditions, allergies, current medications, emergency contacts and other information. The form, stored in a plastic sleeve, can be carried in a car glove box for use in the event of an accident or emergency that prevents the driver from communicating.

“When medication information is communicated correctly during an emergency, it allows emergency responders to act more quickly,” Kinney Drugs VP marketing Jim Wuest stated. “We are trying to save lives by educating our communities regarding this program and by giving people the tools to communicate critical information to paramedics and EMTs when they respond to an emergency.”
