Kinney Drugs offers discount generic drug program

GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. Regional retail pharmacy chain Kinney Drugs has become the latest retailer to offer a generic discount program.

Kinney announced Tuesday the launch of its KinneyCare program, offering 90-day supplies of more than 350 generic prescription drugs for $11.99. The program is available to uninsured customers and those with insufficient prescription drug coverage.

“Kinney Drugs is very concerned about the impact the economy is having on the health and well-being of the people in the communities we serve,” Kinney VP professional services Owen Halloran stated.

The program uses the Kinney Drugs ValueCard, which also provides savings on Kinney and Premier Value brand products, and monthly discounts on brand-name products.
