Kirby Lester releases updated KL30 dispensing and verification system

2/3/2009

LAKE FOREST, Ill. Kirby Lester has released its latest dispensing and verification system, the pharmacy automation equipment manufacturer announced Monday at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Regional Chain Conference in Chandler, Ariz.

The Lake Forest, Ill.-based company said the KL30, an update of the KL20, uses drug-specific cassettes to fully automate the hands-free dispensing of a pharmacy's top 30 tablets and capsules. It said the 30 cassettes alone manage 25% to 30% of the orders in a typical retail pharmacy.

"The KL30 is exactly what our customers have been asking Kirby Lester to develop," Kirby Lester VP business development Christopher Thomsen stated. "We have combined the speed and convenience of full automation, the reliability of Kirby Lester's counting technology and a price-point that makes the KL30 a very affordable, fully-automated system for any size pharmacy."
