Kroger to house trio of Little Clinic locations

12/5/2007

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. The Little Clinic, a Tennessee-based chain of convenience care clinics, plans to open its first three locations inside local Kroger grocery stores Friday, according to reports.

The clinics are staffed by advanced nurse practitioners that can diagnose, develop prognoses and write prescriptions for treatments for common illnesses and for minor injuries. They also offer general check-ups, physicals, back-to-school and sports exams, screenings and a number of vaccinations.

The Brentwood-based Little Clinic is the second convenience care chain after CVS/Caremark Corp.’s MinuteClinic to open locations in the Tennessee area.

Meanwhile, Walgreens’ Take Care Health Clinics subsidiary opened its first three locations in the state, and has plans for another five by the year-end.
