Lilly files patent infringement suits against makers of generic Cymbalta
NEW YORK Eli Lilly has filed patent-infringement lawsuits against several generic drug makers that have attempted to get regulatory approval for generic versions of the antidepressant Cymbalta.
The Indianapolis-based drug maker has filed lawsuits against Lupin, Aurobindo Pharma, Sandoz, Cobalt Laboratories and Impax Laboratories.
The patent for Cymbalta (duloxetine hydrochloride) will expire in 2013.
